The PAAI held our 2021 Annual meeting at the Ramada Inn on June 21, 2021.  New officers were elected and awards were presented.  Thank you to all that attended.

June 21-23, 2021 PAAI Annual June Training.  IAAI Electrical Aspects of Fire Investigation with Mike Keller

The PAAI was finally able to get back to in person training and held our June Training at State College June 21-23. 2021.  Thank you to the Ramada Inn, Center County Fire Training Center and Mike Keller for helping us present another quality class for our attending members.

May 2019 Evidence Collection Technician Practicum, Lehighton PA

The IAAI and PAAI held an ECT Practicum in Lehighton PA.   Twelve Candidates took the practicum and passed all testing stations. Congratulations to the candidates.  Thank you to the evaluators that gave up their Saturday to assist those wishing to advance their careers.  Special Thank You to Insurance Evidence Services (IES) for the use of their Lehighton PA facility for the testing.

2019 JACK CHRISTMAS WEEKEND STATE COLLEGE PA

The 2019 Jack Christmas Training Weekend was well attended and provided 9 hours of test and 3 hours of non-tested Continuing Education Units. Topics included Fire Dynamics, Fire Origin and Cause and Haz-Mat Awareness Refresher.  A few changes had to be made due to some cancellations by insturcotrs but the program was well recieved and attended.  In addition to the instructor challenges the Hotel had to close the restaurant tue to an issue that occurred on Thursday night.

Thank you to the instructors and those that attended and made it another successful PAAI event.

2018 FIRE INVESTIGATOR OF THE YEAR

The PAAI is pleased to announce that the winner of the 2018 Fire Investigator of the Year is Cpl. Greg Agosti, PA State Police Troop C.

Cpl. Greg A. Agosti, IAAI-CFI has been employed by the PA State Police for the past 19 years and has been investigating fires for the past 13 years.  He is currently the supervisor of the Troop C, Fire Marshal Unit. He is an instructor for the PA State Fire Academy and has served as a firefighter for the past 28 years.  The Troop C Fire Marshal Unit cleared 62% of the arson incidents investigated in 2017.

Greg was unable to attend the meeting this year and we will present his award at The Jack Christmas Training Weekend.
