Lawrence “Larry” Boyle Jr. Scholarship Program

Supporting Future Leaders in Police and Fire Sciences

The Lawrence “Larry” Boyle Jr. Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to members of the Pennsylvania Association of Arson Investigators (PAAI) and their families who are pursuing higher education in public safety-related fields. The scholarship supports full-time students enrolled in accredited 2- or 4-year programs focused on police or fire sciences, criminal justice, or similar disciplines.

Eligibility

Applicants must be paid-up members of the PAAI in good standing or their immediate family members (spouse, children, or grandchildren). This also includes family of deceased PAAI members. Students must be enrolled full-time (12+ credits) in a major related to police or fire sciences.

Required Attachments

1. Certified High School transcripts (or college enrollment proof) showing a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.

2. A typewritten original essay (250 words or less) titled: “Why I am interested in a Criminal Justice and/or Fire Science related career.

Notice & Deadlines

Applications and attachments must be submitted no later than May 15th. Award amounts vary by the number of applicants. Recipients can reapply annually for up to 2 or 4 years depending on their program length.
